Colon and Rectum Cancer
Colon and rectal tumors, unfortunately, are the most common. The patient may present with blood with bowel movements, abdominal or rectal pain, altered bowel habits, and weight loss.
The diagnosis should be suspected in any patient with these complaints and made through a series of studies. Once diagnosed, the patient should be staged and specific treatment offered depending on the clinical stage.
IT IS A CURABLE DISEASE IF IT IS DETECTED AND MANAGED IN TIME.

Acute appendicitis
It is the most frequent abdominal surgical emergency in the world. It is due to inflammation of the cecal appendix and is characterized by pain in the lower right quadrant of the abdomen, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and fever.
Diagnosis is made with a careful physical examination, laboratory studies, and in some cases, with specific imaging studies.
The treatment of choice is resection of the cecal appendix by laparoscopic surgery.
