Colon and Rectum Cancer
Colon and rectal tumors, unfortunately, are the most common. The patient may present with blood with bowel movements, abdominal or rectal pain, altered bowel habits, and weight loss.
The diagnosis should be suspected in any patient with these complaints and made through a series of studies. Once diagnosed, the patient should be staged and specific treatment offered depending on the clinical stage.
IT IS A CURABLE DISEASE IF IT IS DETECTED AND MANAGED IN TIME.

Abdominal Wall Hernias
They are defects of the abdominal wall through which the contents of the abdomen can protrude, from adipose tissue and omentum, to an intra-abdominal organ.
The patient will have an increase in volume at the site of the hernia, most noticeable when coughing or pushing. Most hernias can be diagnosed with a physical examination and, when in doubt, defined with an abdominal wall ultrasound or CT scan.
Most hernias must be repaired once diagnosed.
